In the female race the German swimmer Leonie Beck came in first just before the Italian swimmer Ginevra Taddeucci.

The race was good. The first round was very easy and then I had to catch the Italian swimmer, because she made a good distance between herself and me. I realized, I was going to win when I closed the gap between me and Traddeucci, and the I just pushed on, the winner Leonie Beck comments.
