Kiev (LEN) – Dutchwoman Inge Jensen is the only competitor at the European Diving Championships in Kiev who is competing at all heights. The 23-year-old professional from Eindhoven has entered the 1m and 3m springboard events as well as the 3m and 10m synchro.
“I try do gain some experience from the platform, but in the future my main events will be from 1m and 3m springboard”, said Inge Jensen who is coached by Hungarian Balazs Ligart.
The coach is not only responsible for Dutch divers in Kiev, as he is also taking care of one diver from Hungary: his 18-year-old son Abel Ligart who has his international debut at the European Diving Championships in 1m and 3m springboard.
The last all-rounder who not just took part in all competitions but earned medals in each was Patrick Hausding from Germany. His heroic efforts came at the European Championships in 2010 in Budapest where he clinched gold in the 3m springboard and the synchro platform (with Sascha Klein), in addition he had silver medals in the 1m springboard, the 3m synchro (with Stephan Feck) and the platform.
