Montenegro v Spain 8-8 – Day 3, Men, Group A
Vladimir Gojkovic, head coach, Montenegro
We are satisfied that we came back into the game in the last two minutes. I am pleased with the result because after the first three periods and even shortly before the end it looked like we were going to lose the game. Spain is a strong team.
Gabriel Hernandez, head coach, Spain
Of course we are disappointed that in the end we only have reached a tie. We have lost the control over the game in the last two minutes after we played quite well before – especially in the defence.
Milos Scepanovic, goalkeeper, Montenegro
We had lots of chances that we missed. We were better, but today wasnt our day. At the end we had a good defence and gave our maximum.
Albert Espanol, player, Spain
The two goals in the last two minutes were unnecessary. We still want to win our preliminary group and dont think of possible opponents in the next round. We already think of the quarter finals in which we possibly could meet for example Italy as a strong opponent. A victory today would therefore have been important. Now we have to go into the final preliminary match against the Netherlands and make a lot of goals. But Montenegro will do the same against Slovakia, too.
